Description:  135k gsf, five story, 436 space parking garage.  Construction is a precast deck with steel screen substructure and aluminum screen panels. There are 518 metal panels of 36 different types. The 1/4" thick aluminum coil was produced in Korea, using manufacturing technology to coat different colors on each side. One side of the panels is white, the other orange. They were fabricated using a punch press and laser cutter, shipped flat and bent on site. The parking garage’s interactive design merges art and branding with practicality. Its wave-like patterns of multi-colored and gradient-sized panels offer an ever-changing play of light, color, and shadow. Night lighting from cutouts, glassed areas and elevator column provides a lantern-like glow, illuminating the destination’s evening ambience.
